I read they're the same caliper, the years matter, SAE or Metric banjo bolts/bleeders.
Don't know what year these axles are from, but the bleeders and banjo bolts are metric (thankfully, I already bought the 10mmx1.0 speed bleeders, and they fit). The piston measured 2 13/16, but I see on rock auto they sell the 2 15/16, I measured just the metal, I'm assuming the other 1/8" was the rubber boot.
Just want to make sure I'm buying the correct calipers, I might call around to see if anyone has them locally for the core return, if not on hand, then I'll just order through rock auto or some place.
A-1 CARDONE Part # 184209 and of course the other side. (one of the ones I found on rock auto)
But as I'm getting part #s collected to call around town (advance, autozone, oreilly, whomever MIGHT have it on hand), the same search pops up 3 5/32 piston size, and the 2 15/16 as the "exact fit". Brake codes JB6 and JB7 which means nothing to me, other than 6 is for 2 15/16, and 7 is for 3 5/32. That's advance.
Autozone's duralast reman has the 2 15/16, but the banjo bolt size says 10mmx1.5 when for S&Gs I screwed my 10mmx1.0 speed bleeders in my banjo bolt holes and it fit just fine. Or well, seemed to, it has the red thread locker on there, so I only did it finger snug.
And then I check oreillys, and their brake best house brand shows 1.5 for the banjo bolt and bleeder, still a 2 15/16 piston, but with JD5 code. Well, one of them, they have like 20 calipers on there. But they do sell the a1 cardones, so at least I can use that same part number from rock auto, if they have them on hand.
So I guess whoever has any of the 2 15/16 piston size on hand, just bring one of my banjo bolts and make sure it fits? I don't have a thread pitch gauge, so I can't measure it, I know the bleeders are 10mmx1.0 cause I have the package. I dunno, I suck at buying parts
And I was going to ask the difference between loaded/unloaded calipers... but then I searched and it said with or without pads included
EDIT: well... I relooked at my speed bleeder package, it says 1.5
