3/4 race cam opinion needed

I was told that a 3/4 race cam would be the best all around selection for my 74' blazer that is my toy as well as my driver.
Whatcha all think?

I would say No. Those 3/4 race cams are based on old 1960's technology. I would suggest calling up your favorite cam manufacturer (Comp, Crane, Lunati, Isky etc) and let them recommend a cam based on your truck and engine specs. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

What kind of heads,intake,carb,compression do you have.most people make the mistake of just putting in a big cam and then cannot figure out why it runs like crap.Is this a daily driver? Also what stall converter are you running.All these things make a big difference when selecting a cam.
