I am rebuilding a 14bolt SF 9.5 8 lug rear axle, To go on a 1986 Jimmy.

Does any know if 3/4 springs will bolt right in?
And would they give me more lift?
Where should I get bushings?

Thanks for any input,
Jeff

3/4 ton springs? they won't give you any lift unless your stock 1/2s are worn out. They will not bolt right in. they are 56" long and the stock 1/2 tons are 52" long. Need to move the stock rear hanger back farther.

Would u just use the 1/2 ton springs?
B/c I will be towing a 3K pound stump grinder for the next year;after that I am going back to school, I then would use the truck as a daily driver, not as a work truck and, plan to buy lift springs and bigger tires.

Thanks, Jeff

hey guys i am also gonna be swaping both axles 14FF into my k5 plus a 44 up front now is it that none of the 73-87 chevy 3/4 tons came with 52" springs? cause mine are out of a 79 3/4 ton also and how far back does the hanger have to go back in order to make it fit???
