I've got a couple spares in good shape. FYI they are the same on 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks from '77-87(91). I'll sell one spindle and locknut set for $25 shipped.
Only thing different is the 73-76 small bearing spindle. I've interchanged the '77 up between 1/2 and 3/4 ton axles without problems many times. I can get you a pic next weekend when I get home.
oh yes i am so sorry about that. i thought i pmed you. they look a little too scored for me. mine i took off looked a tiny bit better and had a bearing seize. im looking for one a little better. but thx so much though.
No... just a shiney spot where the seal rides. It looks like a slight groove is starting to form there, but I can't feel it with my fingernail. No grooves in the bearing surfaces.
You need to remember the bearing race surface is where the bearing is gonna turn. The spindle needs to be round and smooth for ease of installation and to prevent distortion of the bearing race.
