Well I have to get my Dana 44 front and 14 bolt rear in soon so what am I going to need? I've read a lot of threads and understand it's very easy but would like to get a parts list going. Here's some information on the 90 blazer and usage. Front has 2 1/2 inch lift pro comp springs, no sway bar, stock rear springs, 35 or 36 inch tire, drive to and from local trails only. New axles are 4:11 gears, gov lock rear, Lock Right front, flat top knuckles but no high steer right now, locking hubs, came from a well known driving truck and also inspected by me so I am not expecting even a brake problem.

I have the u-bolts for the front Dana 44 that should just bolt on my 2 1/2 inch pro comp springs. I plan on 35 or 36 inch tires and some trimming so would those zero rates help move the front axle forward an inch for tire to floor clearance?

The rear has stock springs and a four inch block. I was planning a 2 1/2 block for now as I want to stay LOW! Or even just a zero rate? Not sure what I will upgrade these to at a later date maybe shackle flip or springs... So I may need u-bolts here. Should I keep the stock overload spring in the bottom? Ideas?

What's a good shock for front or rear with these springs. Maximum flex would be good. I am looking for a smooth but safe drive.

I can have brake hoses made here in town, how much should I add to stock front and rear hoses?

I did some crude measurements and looks like the front drive shaft will bolt in?

What about the rear drive shaft to the new 14 bolt? The SYE will also be another project but for now what would I have to do for the stock drive shaft to work.

Emergency brake cables? Mine work now and the new 14 bolt has the cables ready to go. Any ideas of what's needed to hook up?

Will the TRE on the drag link work with my pitman arm?

Any other tips and tricks appreciated. When I do this I want it done, not a project... I've got places to wheel and people to see! :D

front will bolt right in. did you get the 14b from a 3/4 ton? if so it'll bolt right in. you will need a conversion u joint for the rear axle yoke. it's up to you about the suspension changes.

10 bolt and d44 brake lines are different thread size at the caliper.

Could always just use the 10b calipers no problem.

Didn't know that, I'll keep a 10B caliper for spare. I'm guessing the 3/4 caliper is still bigger or better?

1/2 and 3/4 ton calipers are essentially the same and will interchange with no problem. The banjo bolt (and hence, brake line) is different between the 10 bolt and D44 so choose which calipers you want to use before you have brake lines made.
