Ok, got my axle swap completed, and now i have the stock axles from my 91 burb up for sale.

When i did the swap, I kept my front axle outers, so the front axle being sold is a 91 center section, 91 shafts, and 79 outers.

10 bolt front 3.73 gears, open, manual hubs. Good Axle u joints.
Front needs ball joints, outer rebuild, one new hub/rotor. Looks to have hit the pavement at some point. BJ's were removed during disassembly, and that is the only reason the outers are not mounted to the center section.

14sf rear, gov lock, 3.73 gears. All new brakes (shoes, cylinders, springs) recently. 3/4 ton spring perch width, so will swap directly into a 1/2 ton blazer/truck. Ready to bolt in, served part time daily driver role in my burb for years, only removed a couple weeks ago.

Great way to swap your k5 to 3/4 ton!

$325 obo.
Pickup only. Pleasanton, CA

Looks more like the tire fell off goin down the rode and pavement met rotor. Buddy had an old ram that happened to, looked exactly the same

Yep....

Didn't ever take a close look at the outers when i bought it, as i was going to use my outers. Didnt' figure it out until i was putting the backing plates BACK ON the knuckles :haha:

I'm interested if you can wait until after the first of the year. Xmas has me a little short of $$'s!
Any idea hoe to make this work for 6-lug? I assume from the pics its 8-lug.

They should still be here!

The best way to make this work for you is to switch to 8 lug wheels.

Other than a conversion u joint, and 8 lug wheels, these axles will bolt into your blazer, and bring you up to the strength of 3/4 ton running gear.

Problem is the 6 lug wheels are new....:doah:. I'll figure something out. I'll let you know in the next couple of weeks when I can get down there.

Joe

Wheels are easy to buy and sell on craigslist though.

You could run your front axle outers, and convert the 14sf to 6 lug, but really, its more effort than its worth.

To The Top.....Any takers? I want these out of my back yard.

Not sure i can trip over them again while taking the trash out in the dark without going crazy....:haha:
