3/4 ton brake booster mod.

show us a link to 60 dollar savings...brother

go to www.gmpartsdirect.com and type in the part number that was on the box. If I think about it tonight I will find the spare one I bought from them and put a direct link up. I purchased one from inline tube and went to see if I could find it cheaper. IIRC it was like edit 109.00 EDIT from GMPD

Sorry to hijack,
Did most of the 1st gen trucks come with disc's in the front and drum rear? The reason I ask is that I have a '70 K20 Truck that had 4 wheel drum brakes when I bought it, now 4 wheel discs so I am wondering if I would benefit from a swap to a '72 3/4 or 1-ton booster / MC . Thanks for the help!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe front discs/rear drums began in 1971. Prior to that, they were drums on all 4 corners. Whether or not you will benefit will depend on what was upgraded in the brake system when the 4 wheel disc conversion was done.

Burt, I am struggling with the short brake lines for this conversion. What did you ask for when you called inline tube. Are those just stock 3/4 lines? I actually bought an aftermarket proportioning valve too but I can't find brake lines that will work with it and I like your set with the stock valve.

scotty, what did you do for prop valve and short lines? did you cross them like burt?

Thanks

looks like advance auto sells all the tubing and fittings and will let me borrow a bender to do it. Also I now know that stock 3/4 short lines will work so I may just order from inline tube.
