Out of a '67-'72 truck.

I found a truck thats getting ready to be scrapped and talked to the owner about the rear of which is the leaf sprung D60.

I didn't get into details with him about the year or gears. I will be getting it hopefully this weekend and will find out more details about it once I get it home.

Basically I saved this rear from getting crushed. And yes, I'm selling it. Price will determine what I find on the ratio and year.

Any interest? These years of leaf sprung rears share the same spring perch width as the K30 rearends.

Should be the same as the k10 and k20 because Ive got a 69 chevy d60 under the rear of my 86 k15 and didn't have to touch the spring perches.

While I'm no '67-'72 expert, I am aware that there are 2 different perch widths much like the '73 and up 1 tons compared to the 1/2 and 3/4 ton widths.

I don't know if its either the K and C series that make the widths different on these older trucks.

I do know my BIL had a '72 once and swapped in '80 K10 axles from me and had to relocate the rear perches.

My folks hillbilly/hippie neighbors have a C20 of one of those years and they swapped in an '80's 14SF under it without changing the perches. This was the rear I heard about that didn't need mods that made me wonder "WTF?".

I still think the C-series use the wider perch and K-series use narrow.

Lets see if the first-gen guys with experience can chime in.

Im not sure if the rear I put under mine was a C or a K-series because all that was left of the truck was the bed and that part of the frame( guy was going to make it into a truck bed trailer but never did ).

Mine has a 4.10 gear and a factory powerloc, it has held up great to 38's and the abuse I have put it through.

I'd be interested to know what's under the diff cover and the spring perch width is on this thing when you get your hands on it.
