3/4 ton s10

Today i bought a 78 3/4 ton with a good 350, sm465, np205, And 14ff. The body is pretty bad, And i have a 91 s10 with bad motor and tranny that i also purchased today (got both for 500). So im thinking about putting the s10 body on the 3/4 ton frame, How much trouble will this be? would i be better off putting good 350 and axles in the s10 frame? Any info will be much appreciated.

if it were me... i'd put the s 10 body on the 3/4 ton frame.

that seems like it would be easier.

id put the drivetrain under the S10 chassis if it were me. seems to be the more popular way to go. no need to worry about fabbing body mounts, and the body would sit lower on the frame.

and the s10 frame is boxed and prolly stronger, definetly not weaker

the s10 body on the 3/4 ton frame takes an insane amount of body lift, put it all under the s10 framne

Thanks for the input, I also just located a stripped crew cab so i might put that cab on the 3/4 frame and make a real short bed for it. What do you think?

i kinda like that idea the best $500 for the whole package sounds like you got a good deal.

s10 frame. its fully boxed back past the trans crossmember. stronger and lighter. don't have to extend it like I did, that was my choice of moving the axle forward and using the 52" springs I had.
