Alright gents I am now settled in North Alabama after retiring from the Marine Corps and no longer need my commuter car, a 2014 VW Passat TDI SEL. I am looking for a new daily driver that I can use on the farm so that I'm not tearing up my wife's Tundra. Here is what I am after:

Square body K20 Suburban. This is my first choice!
1960-66 Long bed C20 or K20
1967-72 Long bed C20, C30, or K20
Square body K20, K30, Long Bed. 3+3 or CUCV are a bonus
Square body K5, CUCV
1994-1997 F250, F350.

I am looking to spend $8000-$11,000 or trade my TDI (40.4 mpg). If you check out my previous Suburban, it is what I am trying to replace, and here are my requirements:

Long bed if its a pickup.
No 1/2 tons pickups unless they have bigger axles swapped.
True daily driver.
3" max lift
All gauges, lights, wipers, heater/AC controls work
No hacked up wiring
Doors not cut for speakers
Fan shroud
Original paint and interior if possible, even if faded.
Extremely limited rust, think a SoCal body.
Good tires, 10K miles left on them.
As close to stock as possible.
I need to be able to fly in, and drive it back to my place in Muscle Shoals, Al without a hiccup. Well small hiccups are expected.

Gas or Diesel, straight 6 or V8. A 454 will be considered but really not wanted as I will only be towing about 5% of the time.
Manual or automatic, my drive is 19 miles each way with 60 mph speed limits and only 3 stop signs.

I'm looking for a unicorn and I am willing to drive up to 1000 miles for the right rig.

Congratulations on your retirement. Thanks for kicking ass and keeping the bad guys over there.

Well my k20 is still around and it runs but the sitting has done a number on the interior and the electrical is getting cleaned up, I have a few gages not working.
Not sure how long it will take me but I will let you know when I am close to done.

Well scratch that! The owner called me yesterday and apologized but they had previously promised the vehicle to their son and forgotten about it. So I am still searching!

You and me both bro. I hope your search ends soon.

If you’re interested in an obs suburban, there is this beast to be had. This is the second time he has posted it, and the price is cheap in my opinion.

I just paid 7k for a 01 2wd with 137k miles 8.1l so that is a good deal.

Hell I'd buy just to be a donnor for my 77

I paid $1950 for my 98 here in California with 126k miles.
My friend got his 99 cc with the same running gear for $1500 but it has same dings and scratches.
Still this one is not too bad. Probably can offer $4k
