3/4 ton w/ 14BFF or 14BSF

yeah springs, rear axle, tranny(400) brakes,

the 3/4 tons also had this weird adjusting valve atached to the rear diff, so the lower the assend say (more wieght) it would adjust the brakeing some how, mine and many other peoples are bypast because i guess it is easyer then fixing it when it gose bad.

and they sit a little hight and that looks better to me

OK, so if I want my end result to be a 4x4 with 700R4 and a 14BFF I'm better off starting with a 1/2 ton, correct? BTW, were diesels only offered in the 3/4ton 4x4s or 1/2 ton 4x4s too?

The 1/2 tons came with the 700r4 and the th400 came in the 3/4 tons I'm not sure about the diesels.

I HAVE SEEN 1/2 AND 3/4 TON DIESELS,
and the 700 is also in 3/4 tons not sure about 4x4 but my 90 3/4 2wd had it.

All depends on the year of burb. My dads 77 3/4ton has a stock 14FF. I think the SF's started showing up on burbs in the mid to late 80's.

3/4 ton suburbans dont have the brake valve, only pickups do.

If your talking about that THING mounted to the top side of the diff, then that wrong...my neighbors 3/4ton burb (1984)has one on it and its stock.

The newer Subs with big blocks came with ff, the Subs with smallblocks came with sf. The problem is that Suburbans didn't have bigblock engines in 4wd till 92 when the body styles changed. I have a 1990 2wd burb with a 454 and a 10.5sf axle.
