Hey all, I did a 3/4ton axle swap a few years back and its time to throw in new pads up front. I pretty sure its a mid an early to mid '80s 8 lug axle. Is there a good way to identify the caliper and/or pads to use or are they pretty generic? Any help would be great. Thanks!

They're pretty generic...Just yank them off and take them to the parts store...get the new ones and slap em' on...

The pads are the same between 1/2 and 3/4 ton.

I did a search on The O'Reilly site for an 86 k5 and an 86 k20 to verify.

The part numbers are the same for pads. The rotors however, are obviously not the same.

There are two different types of calipers on a 10 bolt -- dimensionally they seem pretty similar, but the one has a very different brake line connection. Just take your old pads and/or calipers to compare :)
