I was in a sears tonight and they had the craftsman pro on sale for 169.00 bucks. It looks a lot like a snapon mg31 gun. Is sears doing a rebox from snapon? If it is a snapon reboxed is this a good deal?

can't find it on their site. Nearest looking thing I found had 145ft-lbs of torque, far less than the Snappy gun. I would never purchase a Craftsman air tool. Why? Warranty. How do they go about warrantying them? I am unaware, and I bet they are too. I took in a 3/8" impact swivel in once for replacement, and they looked at me like I had 3 heads. They had no idea what it was or what to do about it. Told me to call some tool hotline about it.

At least your Snappy guy would know wtf is going on. Matco has specific Matco repair centers ;)

Actually I have a decent store here, they actually speak warranty. Well sort of anyway.

I think its really a copy of the IR gun after a closer look at the IR...

So today the matco guy stopped by the shop and I bought a new 7/8ths wrench. The price was ouch but 20 minutes after he left I was using it. And tonight a buddy sent me a link for a new IR2115 impact for 169.00 on the bay on a buy it now. So its on its way...

That is hands down the best impact gun I have ever used, you will be very happy with it. You will find yourself using it in many places where you would normally use a 1/2" gun.
