Looking at doing a 3 inch body lift on my 82 6.2 diesel Blazer.
1. Is it hard??
2. Does it involve more because its a diesel??
3. Can I do it in a weekend??

1. Depends on how rusted your bodymount bolts are.
2. Maybe. The oil & trans cooler lines could be difficult. The brake lines from the M/C should have coils in them for flex, they should allow the necessary movement. You may need to modify (extend) trans & T-case shift linkages.
3. See #1

well i have no experience with disels but on my blazer it really wasant that difficult

it took me about 8 hours of work but i ran into bushing problems and i had to order pieces.

Fanshroud - easy no big deal

WIres lines ect - no problems

gas tank - no problems.

linkage for steering colum- easy cut and weld.

4wd linkge, mine wasant effected.

steering shaft - dill and it extends

steering colum - make sure to follow instructions about loosening so you can do nessicary adjustments.

ONE THING TO MAKE SURE OF!!! - DO ONE SIDE AT A TIME LIKE THE LIFT SAYS. YOU MAY THINK, HEY I GOTTA HYDROLIC LIFT LOOK AT ME IM LIFTING IT ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!! WELL THIS IS WHATI DID AND THE WHOLE CHASIS SHIFTED AND I WASTED PROBABLY 4-5 HOURS LINEING IT UP AGAIN.

dont forget to detatch or cut the restrictors in the tailgate. they are strong litttle buggars and actually held up the rear end of my blazer.

I have a '89 Blazer and I'm going to start my 3" body lift this weekend and i had a couple questions. Is there going to be a problem with the trans cooler lines? Also is it necesary to drop the gas tank? Any help is appreciated.
