Wow, time flies when you're busy at work, eh??? :rotfl: Yes, brothers, it's that time again. We are now officially accepting pics for consideration for the 2010 Rigs of CK5 calendar. Please read the following and do your best to follow along. Any questions should be sent to me by PM. Anyhow, here we go:

1. You must be a supporting member in order to submit a picture. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CK5 USERNAME AND REAL NAME WITH YOUR SUBMISSION.

2. Pics need to be HI-RES, with a minimum resolution of 1200x1600 pixels. This really shouldn't be a problem anymore seeing that everyone and his dog has a 10MP camera. Whenever possible, try to submit pics taken "long side down" so we can maximize page usage. Grainy or out-of-focus pics will not be accepted.

3. Along with your pic, please include a list of your truck's specs, in this order:

Year, make and model, motor, tranny, TC, front and rear axles, gears, lift size and brand, tire size and brand, wheel size and brand(if applicable), any special "extras" that you think set your truck apart from others.

As well, please include the location where the pic was taken.

4. We are looking for amazing action shots with awesome background scenery. Poser shots will be considered if the background is too good to ignore. If you've purchased a calendar in the past, you know what we're looking for. Keep in mind that this is not a beauty or a popularity contest- I look forward to receiving pics of ALL KINDS OF RIGS, not just tricked-out trail rigs. Please understand that pics will be judged on photographic merit more than the vehicle itself.

5. We will be accepting submissions until SEPT. 30th. We have 13 spots to fill, including the much-coveted cover page shot, which up until last year always featured Steve Fox's UAV. I'm not sure what we're gonna do with the back page this year- last year's took on a life of its own after bp71K5's submission...........:rotfl: :rotfl:

Apparently, the whole FTP thing is going over like a lead balloon, so from now, please forward your pics to me at unan at telus dot net....

That's about all I can think of. Like I said before, we've sold a lot of these calendars, so quite a few of you know what kind of pic is calendar-worthy. With that in mind, when you head out on the trails this summer, be sure to keep your cameras handy- the next pic you take might appear in next year's Rigs of CK5 calendar!!!! :thumb:

Good luck, lads.......

If the FTP site doesn't work, you can always try sending your pics to my inbox. Just be advised that they may get rejected if the files are really big. On top of that, I'm gonme for two weeks starting Friday, and won't be here to keep an eye on things.....

FWIW, my email addy is unan at telus dot net.

Use it at your own risk.........:rotfl: :rotfl:

Must be a couple too many of us trying to submit pics at the moment, FTP is super slow!

So, I uploaded it to my server instead!

My G** You have a much better pic that I do!!!!!!!

All I did was go down a Heep trail. And the Pic was at the top of the run.

I'm sorry It wasn't the right size!!!!

Funny, I was thinking the same about your picture cheyennek20! Mine is a bit grainy, thats what you get when you leave it to a jeep owner to take a picture of ya, haha

I got a few to send in this year Paul, but I am going wheelin sometime in the next two months and with the great weather we've been having I am sure I can get a cool shot or two.

I got a few Crew Cab shots this year too :D

I have several variations of the CC pics but these are my faves, and a couple of the K5.

Nice pics, guys.

Remember- to officially submit them they have to end up in my inbox(or the FTP site), with all the pertinent info attached.

I will not be scrolling through this thread everyday, and can't possibly keep track of "who submitted what" without an email......:deal:

Not to clutter, but , MTBLAZER89 ....I love those shots of your crew cab with the mountains in the back ground :bow:.

That is all :D ...you can now return to your regularly scheduled programs :p:

so do we get extra points for breakage...for an extra good action shot, haha.

Ill try to get a worthy one this year Paul.

Thanks! After I uploaded them the first thing I thought was a couple of them could be a GM magazine add from 89 :D

Will you be using any pictures of rigs in primer sitting in the garage? :frown1:

Looking at previous calendars, the criteria appears to be centered around having either some really cool scenery that not everyone sees a lot or you caught some really cool action while driving through the same kind of scenery.

Yea, bikini models wrestling in a mud bog, next to a beach sunset, at the base of tall mountain range, I think you'll be golden.

Ok guys, I'm back from vacation, and for some reason we've only received 5 submissions in the last 2 weeks???????? I was planning on starting the pre-sale next week, but unless some more of you send me pics, there might not be a calendar to sell this fall.........:yikes:

Please send your pics and spec list to unan at telus dot net.
