so will 3 leaf front springs lift the front of my truck up or are they about the same as the 2 leaf springs. i have a set of 3 leaf fronts and i was wondering if it would make any diffrence.

they really dont lift it, more load rating, that is it. My 1/2 ton came with 3 leaf (plow truck), my 3/4 ton came with 2 leaf, and my 1 ton had 3 leaf, all sat pretty much the same although the 1ton was a little higher because of the front 60.

ahh ok guys thanks, guess ill just get me some more zero rates just for that extra inch. by the way you guys were on it today i hade the answer i was looking for in 8 minutes haha

My 77 K5 has the 3 leaf pack under the front. My father bought it new, and never changed anything, so it was a factory option. It does sit up higher than other stock K5s. It also rides very firm...

I am able to fit my 35x12.50s on 15x12 wheels with very minimal trimming on the front fenders.

Your results may vary, as my blazer only has 70k on it, so they probably aren't as worn out as most springs out there.

I promise, if they are not saggy, they will lift the truck exactly the thickness of that 3rd leaf. :)

Bump for a correct answer :)

actually the correct answer is:
if you replace the 2 leaf with a 3 leaf of the same condition you will gain 1/2" to maybe 1" and you will flex less so bigger tires might not rub when flexing it.
