3 point rear seat belts

My K5 has the rear bench seat and two point seat belts. It didnt matter when I was single but now I have a 4 year old daughter and another daughter on the way so I want to figure out a way to change that.

Has any body fitted 3 points seat belt in the rear of a K5 and if somebody has how was it done?

factory on the 90-91 blazer. i have it on my 85 by using the 90 top and back seat.

Also can adapt a late model Tahoe or Suburban third row seat, which has the seat belts incorporated in the seat.

Also you can adapt a late model Tahoe or Suburban third row seat, which has the seat belt incorporated in it.

Thanks for the info, so I would need a top from 90-91 Blazer or seats from Tahoe or Suburban. I live in Iceland and its hard to get those things over here so I will probably have to find seat belts I can bolt to my rollcage.

I was thinking of putting them to my rollcage as well. I'm not sure if it will still be safe in a high speed crash though. Most people would want to see the seats tied to the cage if done this way so that it moves as one piece if the cage gets ripped from the body.

I havent though of that, that could be a problem. I did reinforce the floor where the cage is bolted in so probably its not a big possibility that the cage will be ripped from the body, but I have to think of how I could make it stronger.

This is NOT a daily driving vehicle, mostly trail vehicle.

no you would need the seat from the 90-91 blazer to go with the top.. If you go late model its all incorporated in the seat. will need fab work on the seat from Tahoe or Sub.

What's different about the seat? I have a 91 and my belts were bolted to the floor (and top).

I think it's the position of the male/female ends that make it work. The retractors are on the top right? But bolt to the floor next to the seat?

That's correct but no special attachments to the seat itself. The female buckles just pushed thru the gap between the upper and lower cushions. I can't see what would be different unless the sides of the seat are shaped differently for clearance.
