3 Point Seat Belts in 73-75 Full Vert?

I had a '75 2wd K5 that had a seat belt mounting hole in the fiberglass top,but no belt for it--only had a lap belt...hole had a plastic cap in it,so it appeared it never came with the shoulder belt ..

After seeing how many K5's that had been involved if fairly "bad" accidents that had the fiberglass top either come off completely or badly damaged, like bust into pieces--I don't think I'd want my shoulder to be belted to the topper.....

It's probably fine for a minor fender bender. Any kind of roll over would be no fun. You tube has a video of fhe guy rolling off potato salad hill I think. The whole top is just gone in a split second.

Big question is what do you do when you take the top off? Does the lap belt portion still work?

@bp71k5 & @diesel4me make great points and I think the ship has sailed for me on this 3 point belt idea. At this point I'm a couple hundred bucks poorer for the factory correct Robbins GM lap belts I bought on eBay and won't be considering the 3 point seat belt conversion any time soon. But, at least I got to play with my new toy (bore scope) to see what was in there and give other full vert owners something to consider for their own rigs.
