HI.
i have a 1987 K5 blazer. I had a hi torque Jegs starter in it for about 2 years until the starter seized up. the starter had a large post for the main electrical cable, and then a smaller post where another cable attached.
i ordered a rebuilt starter from autopartswarehouse dot com. it said it fit 1987 blazer. however this starter has 3 posts. large post, and then 2 smaller posts.
Is there some way i can hook up this starter to make it work? if not how do i get a 2 post starter?
i hooked up the starter how i thought it should go, with the 3rd post free. when you just turn the key to ON position, the engine starts to crank over (without even turning the key to the START position)
any help would really be appreciated. i'm trying to sell it soon and it would be alot easier if the buyer didn't have to Tow it out.
