1/2 ton status
I just picked up an 81 1/2 ton pickup a couple days ago. Pretty clean truck and mostly stock. Its got a straight six, but they swapped the auto for a 3 speed manual. No biggy, as everything works, but I know nothing about Chevy 3 speeds. Anybody know where I can get some info on the tranny, and the motor too I guess. Also, can a 4 speed be swapped in without any crazy mods. The truck has a 208 in it, if that helps. I assume I would need the crossmember, 4 speed, and all the associated linkages to make it work. Thanks!
