In the tech for a 73 blazer it list several 3 speed trannies. Which i have figured not many people have in 4x4s but how do you know what kind you have and to swap to a 4 speed what the adapter will bolt up to? It came from the factory 350 3 on the tree 205 44 front 12 rear with open 3.08 diffs. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The NP205 behind the 3 speed has the same coarse 10 spline input shaft as the NP205 behind the 4 speed. IIRC, the adapter is different, but not sure on that. If the stock one didn't work, you'd just need the 4 speeds.

Yea,those 3 speed adapters are one of a kind--and very rare--I saw one in the junkyard a long time ago,it had the shifter made into the adapter, and this one had a Dana 20 transfer case like a jeep factory!--I've seen the 3 speed trannys with a 205 too,but only 1 in about 20 years of fooling with GM trucks!. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
