3\" wheel spacers

Found a place online with a good price on 8 lug to 8 lug 3" spacers. They're CNC Billet T6061. Anybody know anything about them? Opinions-other then "I wouldn't run spacers". The place is www.truckn-store.com. The price is $109 a pair plus S&H. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Re: 3\" wheel spacers

Possibly to run unmodified Hummer rims on SRW width axles.

I'm doing the same thing on my K5, dually front D60 with a SRW width D70HD using 3" spacers on the rear.

Re: 3\" wheel spacers

If you are going to run it on a D44 or 10 bolt front axle you will be adding alot of leverage to the ball joints. This will make them wear out alot quicker. (assuming your not using a hummer rim)

Re: 3\" wheel spacers

Their website is up and running now. The spacers are for a van width 14 bolt under my K5. Here's a mock up of a 38x12.50 tire on a stock hummer wheel. If I hold a straight edge verticaly against the inner edge of the tire and measure over to the inner fender well I only have 1.5". Not too good for articulation. NOTE: the front is a 35" on a dana 44 so don't look at the front tire in the second pic. Have the DRW 60 in the garage. Searching for some used 5.13 gears.

They are just barely inside the fenders.

Will need to cycle the rear suspension to see what it want's to do.
