pretty sure there 30 spline. hey said they will work for 4.56 thick gears. so whats is a m1008? thanks

30 spline Detroit locker for a m1008 60

Front GM Dana 60's have 35 spline inners (thus you'll need a 35 spline locker) and 30 spline outers.
95% of FF rear 60's are 30 spline, that's what the 30 spline locker came out of.

if the price is right buy it and new side gears for the unit.

Replacement side gears are VERY hard to source, or so I hear from those who have broken detroits.
I have a course spline Detroit, (16) and thought that I could just replace the side gears for a 30 spline set and use it in a rear. I found a set, but the outside diameter is smaller than the original ones. I would have to get new clutches to make the 30s work, not going that route anymore, but the clutches/thrust washers/springs were $225. I can get the 16s broached to 35 for a front 60, but don't fee like spending anymore on it, and not putting a Detroit in the front of my truck anyways...
