I'm stuck with my 305 in my '87 blazer for a while. What muffler are you other 305er's running that doesn't make it sound like 305. I want the pipes to dump right over the rear axle and I would like a somewhat of an aggresive tone.

thanx

Ive got an 84 with 305 carbed motor.

Ive got Heddman headers, catco cats and Flowmaster 40series muff. True dual exhaust that exits stock location on both sides. Mine doesnt sound like a 305 by any means.

This short vid takes a few to load. be patient.

Yea I love the sound; not too loud but enough that people hear you when you stomp. :D

Hey badmix your file doesn't come up. I was interested in the 40's if you can woop up a sound file that would be great.

Is their a site with exhaust samples?

On the Flowmast site. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/sound.html

I ran 2.5" pipes with two turbo mufflers on my factory 305 and it sounded great. I wanted it a little louder this go around so I put full length headers, 2.5" pipes and 40 series Flowmasters when I installed the new engine.

I have Cherry Bombs or Glass Packs on mine.

The exhaust set up came with the rig when I bought it.

No way to do that. jus hit refresh.

put cherry bombs on my old blazer with a 305 and 3/8 thick steel pipe (all welded and turn out before rear tires--true duals) with heddman headers...LOUD!! but awesome--scares rice burners away hehe!!

BTW: it was extremely heavy but add about 4-6 more hangers a side and your good

Why use 3/8 thick pipe for exhaust, might be a little overdone. I would think stainless would be a wiser choice...
