305\'s and 350\'s

Will my flywheel off of a 73 350cid fit onto a newer 305(EFI)??

If no.. when i get a flywheel for the 305 will my clutch from a 1973 sm465 bolt up?

help please....

I know 305's are for girls but i have a goodline on one and it fi... and then i can build my 350 the right way..

NO, the bolt circle is different and also all the newer (1986-up) engines are external balanced on the rear only. Not sure about the actuall clutch fitment though.

okay.. now what about an old carb'd 305?

Will my flywheel and clutch fit?

Depends on the year, I think an older 305 flywheel will work on a 350 crank. You will have to change the starter I believe though. Just wondering .....why do you want to put a 305 flywheel on a 350. If you do I hope you have the rotating assembly balanced.....


The bell housing bolt pattern is the same. Sometimes the 305 had a smaller diameter bell housing that a flywheel from most 350's will not fit in.
