31 gallon Blazer tank, vent issues

Well I went to fill up thinking some miracle was going to let my tank fill up no problem without a vent but obviously it spit back out at me. So now I'm wondering, where the hell do blazer tanks vent at if theres no port on the tank. The leaking one I had didnt have one and the new one I bought doesnt. I need to get a vent rigged up, it took me 5mins to put in 2 gallons...

the vent is part of the sending unit and the filler neck.

There are actually 2 vents. (At least on my 90) The Main filler vent is part of the fill tube. It's a 1/2 tube that connects into the fuel sending unit. The other one is also on the fuel sending unit and runs up to the charcoal canister.

Ok so since I used my saddle tank sender how can I rig this in?

Tap a hose fitting into the top of the sender and plumb it to my filler neck?

How far up the filler neck does it need to go?

Does anyone have a picture? I'm just trying to get an idea of how high up the tube is in relation to how deep the nozzle goes.

I can't believe your truck doesn't have a breather hose on the fill tube... They did that even back in the 70's. I have one I just took off my 90 if you need one. What year is your truck and what year tank do you have in it?

Its got a 3rd gen 31 gallon blazer tank in it. So 73-91. I'm seeing what happened here is I simply overlooked and never questioned why the tank didnt have a breather.

I'm just gonna tap the top of the fuel pump assembly for a 1/2in hose.

Thanks for the pic but I was looking for a picture of how far up the filler the vent needs to come

Here is the fill tube from my 90. The sender fits a lot of years with Fuel Injection.

Like I said I'm gonna drill my non breather pump and put a fitting in it.
