What year did this combo change from 10 to 32 spline? My 81 has this combo want to make sure it's 32 spline. Thanks, Kevin

32 spline 465/205 question

Any 465 with a 208 behind it is a 32 spline which began in '81.
The 205 t-case with a 32 spline input mated to a 465 began in '85.
All the 1 tons from '84 and older had 10 splines.

guys, i had to bring this back, i have a ?.....i just stripped an 86 k30 for all it was worth, and was wondering if the fine spline(32) is just between the tranny and tc? or should the trans input be 32 spline also where the clutch goes? b/c this tranny has coarse input shaft, does that mean its the coarse spline from tranny to tc also? or are all sm465 input coarse(10 spline) at the clutch...really don't want to pull them apart just to look at splines.

10 spline coarse at the input. Even nv4500s are like this.

thanks.....does the sm465 or np205 have a bom like an axle, so i can verify the year?
