is it difficult to install the 32 spline front output on an np205 from the 10 spline. any different bearings or seals needed. ive read that it wasn't difficult but no details were included as to the process of swapping it over.

It's a direct swap. It's easier if you pulled the whole gear cluster from the ford unit as the whole thing will slide out the back as an assembly. Remove and replace really.

Oh wow. That's good to know I found a ford tcase for only fifty bucks. Only bad part is that its an hour and a half away. Might still be worth it instead of paying almost two hundred for just the shaft from somewhere

Just be sure you get the shift fork on the collar, otherwise just finesse it in place.

The case I found online was out of a 77 f150 mated to a c6 trans. Do u know if that's compatible? I read they are all 32 spline on the fords but I just want to be sure before I go all the way down there

Get the front seal retainer. So you can match the seal. You will want to replace the front seal & it will most likely be a different from your chevy seal. The yoke for the larger shaft has a larger O.d. & takes a different seal.

I just changed mine from a 10 spline to a 32 spline, it was way easier than I expected. I had my t case already out of my k5 so it was even easier on the bench. Pretty straight forward swap. I also went ahead and did the twin stick mod while I was at it.
