I don't know for sure what years/combos I am suppose to be looking for but I found this th350/np205 and wanted to know if anybody could tell if it would be a round pattern 32 spline np205. (that is what I need)

If not can anybody tell me what I should be looking for to find a round pattern 32 spline np205? Thanks!

Looks like a TH400, and if so then the 205 is 32 spline for sure.

That is a TH350 and they are 27 spline. I see that the 205 is a rear slip yoke and i thought those were 1980 and newer and also thought those were all round pattern but it's too hard to tell from that pic angle.

The best i can tell you from that pic is the 205 is a 27 spline input, 30 spline front output and all 205's are 32 spline rear output.

I have a 205 in my K5 that is figure 8 pattern and is a slip yoke. I believe it is also a syncro model. Not sure on the spline count. It's behind a 465.

Slip yokes came on longer trucks from the 70's not all but were common, I have a slip yoke figure 8 from a 76 sub.

To find a 32 spline input look for a TH400 (any year) or a later SM465 (look for the hydraulic clutch bellhousing). If you find one get the adaptor with it they are hard to find.

The round pattern 205's run the LONG 32 spline input. The short 32 spline input is found in the figure 8 32 spline cases behind th400's.

Some of the replies here surprise me, you guys are slipping. :D

A round pattern 205 will come from an '85+ truck only, pre '85 205's have a figure 8 bolt pattern. Every '85+ 205 will be 32 spline regardless of what transmission it was behind. Remember, the bolt pattern change also coinsided(sp?) with the input length change (short pre'85 / long '85+).

The combo pictured in the 1st post is a th350/205 with the figure 8 bolt pattern. Note the squared trans tailhousing with only 2 visible bolts (th350) and the awkward pattern showing 3 bolts on the 205.

Well Im sure the op didn't know about the long and short 32 spline input. I have a round pattern 205 in my truck w/ a short 32 spline input, it was needed for my doubler and I had to trade the 32 spline inputs once I finally found my 205 w/ the long input. PITA.
