My dad has a stock 1995 suburban with 235/75R15 tires on it. I think that works out to ~29" diameter. I have some BFG-AT/KO 33x10.5R15 tires, but I am not sure if they would fit. Has anyone tried putting 33's on a stock suspension. I did a search and some guys have said that it would work, but I wanted to see if anyone has conclusive evidence.

My dad is in Connecticut, and my tires are in California, so it would be better to find out before spending money on shipping them.

A follow on question would be, what is the best way to ship 4 tires, and about how much would it cost?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

I have a '86 with 33 12:50 15's, 2wd.

Had to trim the front a bit, I believe 33 10:50's would have been o.k.

The rear sit higher than my ex's 4x ( both stock)

Yeah, I know it's different body style. I can't post pics yet, not enough post.

That's the biggest size you'll fit on a stock 88-98 4x4, so I don't think they'll work on a stock 2wd

Is the problem that they would rub against the sheet metal in the front, or that they would hit the frame? Why would it be different for 2wd than 4x4?

Four wheel drives generally sit a little higher than a 2wd.
