I want to put 33 x 12.5 BFG KM2 tires on my '86 K5 with 15 x 8 (with -19 offset) American Racing Baja wheels. I have factory suspension without any mods (to the suspension). Has anyone tried this combination? I'd really like to make this work, but I'd hate to have to dish out a lot of money for a lift, brake line extensions, drive shaft lengthening, etc if I can avoid it (don't have that kinda money). If you have a picture of this setup, I'd sure appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure you can fit 33's, stock.

Had 33's on my 72 with no lift. Should fit fine. Might have some minor rubbing at full turn or articulation. Worst case scenario you spend $150 on 1" body lift and mounts to fix the problem. Brake lines, driveshaft and all that will not need to be modified.

I had to trim to make 33x12.50x15's (on 15x10" wheels) fit on a stock 1985 K5. I would just go with a 1" body lift, a zero rate on the front, and a 2" lift block in the rear if I was you.

I wouldnt, dont forget if there is just a tad rubbing, the tires will wear down soon enough. they dont stay 33s forever.
If your springs are still in good shape, the 15x8 rims will make them fit fine, it's the 10" wide rims that make a 33" rub.
Also if your springs are sagging which means you have a drop instead of a lift.
I mount all my tires on 8" wide rims, makes them look skinnier but I am ok with that.
33's fit fine on my rotbox, had them on 15 x 8 rallies... Wheeled the piss outta that thing, im sure it rubbed a little bit on the extreme trails, but no biggie. I have no idea what -19 offset is, but mine was stock rims off an chevy truck, and it worked perfect. Same truck fit 36's by trimming with no lift. The cheapest way if it rubs is to trim the back corner of the fenders, but if your on the street I doubt you would rub with 33's...
I would go with a 2in lift.
2" blocks in the rear, zero rate up front and new u-bolts would be pretty cheap. I think I have blocks out here somewhere I'd let go for a case of beer.

i dont know about that. remember no two trucks are exactly the same
i had an 86 with springs so worn out they were less than 1.5" from the bump stops at rest, and 33x12.5x15s on 15x10s and they NEVER rubbed, ever.

With stock springs there is almost no suspension up travel. 33s should fit with at most minor trimming on a 15x8. I fit 39s with minor trimming.
Done it on an M1009, BFG 33x12.50 AT's on mid-70's factory ralley wheels. Don't know their backspacing.
Only went mallcrawling with it, no serious 'wheeling, but never had it rub.
I'd say that it'll vary from truck to truck, depending on the age and condition of the springs, actual size of the tires, phase of the moon, etc... but put 'em on, sure, try it out. Worst case you can do EZ-Inch/Zero Rates or a body lift or whatever later if you have some rub.

Join the "it should fit" crowd except if the rims have some odd backspacing. 3.75-4" and you should be fine.
I have that setup now and they only rub when I'm turning and flex the suspension, and just barely on the lower ends of the front fenders toward the rear. My springs also have 200k on them.

33s will fit fine.2 inch body lift will get the clearance you need for better room for trail running,with no modifications and the body lift is under 100$.it will be fine with 33s on the street.

I had 33x12.5's on a stock 84'. Just a little snip on the inside of the fender lip and they never rubbed.
