Let me preface this by saying that these BFGs seem stupid expensive for one more inch over the 33x10.5r15 they sell.

But I've been wondering how much longer we are going to be able to get some of the more "uncommon" tire sizes at reasonable prices with 15" wheels.

Started me thinking about aftermarket rally wheels in increased diameter, to get us a few more decades of decent tire sizes. Then I started checking into what tires in what rim sizes were equivalent to 33's, and happened upon this BFG:

Again, that is roughly the price of two 33x10.5r15s, so I'm not sure what is going on there, certainly no cost savings with what should be a more common tire/wheel size, but in any case, 34" is an oddball. Being that narrow, I'm curious if anyone thinks that could fit on a stock rig.

Front, with stock wheels, 33x10.5r15 has never rubbed on my rig, something tells me a narrow 34 would clear too.

I went from 33s that did not rub to 35s that did because that’s what the tire store had. Wish I had known about these. I would have tried them.

It's an inch wider I guess so may be an issue. But the 285x75x17 is cheaper and the equivalent of 34x11.5x17

Dang. When you go with your next set of tires, if you choose these, please post up!

I've always felt these trucks need larger tires to fill the wheel well and look good, but there aren't a ton of options to go taller without going wider, which is where the rubbing seems to be an issue.

I like the stock rally's, and aftermarket manufacturers are starting to repop stock wheels in larger diameters, but thus far I havent seen 17" truck rally replicas. I'm sure they'd be pricey regardless.

But I'd definitely like to know if these would fit without rubbing. Inch and a half of additional ground clearance with no modifications needed except changing wheels.

That's a UTV and lightweight race car tire size. $$$$

Do you have a link for the ralleys in larger sizes?

I havent seen any in our style, yet. But it seems to be a trend, so I'm hoping.

My internet just went bad, but the companies I'm thinking of are wheel vintiques, detroit steel wheel, and coker tire.

It would be interesting to see what they would look like as 17's, as you will throw the proportions off by adding two inches. I'm sure the companies know this, and adjust for that.

16's seem to be more dominant now for restomod wheels, but a narrow 33 or 34" tire only seems available in 15 or 17" sizes at this point, at least from the "big name" companies like BFG and the like.

I was going to say that tire size would be perfect for dually trucks that are running 17 inch wheels but it's only load range D so that kinda kills that idea.
