Anyone run 35" retreads on their truck?
Where did you get them is really my question.

Will be used for mostly dd stuff, some light trails and snow fun maybe, no plan on doing any rocks for a while, seeing as my suspension is stock, lol.

Retreads are unsafe for the road!!!!!!!!! I still dont know why they are street legal.
The only thing they are good for, is farm equipment.

Save your money for some inexpensive off brand 35's.

Way better than a BFG cased retread.

You see retreads laying on the side of the highway everywhere. (Or what's left of the cap)
Not safe IMO.

Hum, I read a bunch of posts about retreads, the consensus seemed to be they were fine, and if bought from the right place(Couldnt find a web site) could be better then a stock tire.
Perhaps I misread, ill do a search again.

I bought mine from a "reputable " source and still had problems one started chunking lugs off another seperatd and 2 flung the caps of an ruined my fenders . so it was not worth the 50 bucks a tire I "saved"

a friend of mine runs some on his truck and he paid $125 for them a piece, you can check out Tirerack.com I always get my tires there.
I just checked and they have some Dunlops M+S for road use for $142 a piece.
I really like their service and prices, I run a comercial 18 wheeler for a living and it had retreads when I bought it, everybody says they are fine, well the first one that blew sootk out my fenders, and the second one took out my fairing and the mud flap. Never will I run anything but new tires no matter the value of the vehicle.

sorry but what are retreads? refurbished tires?
Ya know when your driving on the freeway, and you see big pieces of unsafe chunks and strips of rubber all over? Those used to be retreads.......... They are good for flying rubber into other vehicles and wrecks.

Retreads are good for more than farm use. They also make for a good show in a burnout competition:D

I would just buy a set of coopers stt. I personally hate buckshots so that's my 2 cents.
