how strong are they??i know they arent as strong as a set of flanges but i know where a set is for about the same price as flanges....

I've heard they are close to the same strength as 30 spline hubs, but my decision (for drive flanges) was easy ;)

The only 35 spline hubs I've heard good things about are Teraflex but hardly anyone buys those so who knows.

NWF flanges are only $160 or so :dunno:

I've been running mine for a couple years. That's with some really low gearing, an ARB, Chromo shafts, and 42's. The only issue with mine is one was wanting to lock on its own. I fixed that though.

Running flanges was a pita! Especially trying to drive it on the street with a steep front driveline angle...

If you can get a pair of Spicer lockouts, get the internal gear broached to 35 spline and you will be set.

by pictures the warn prem junk is the same other than a better chrome housing and brass dial. same internal junk.

by a set of old spicers get new gm yellow n.o.s. dials off ebay for 72 + shipping. reman kit off ebay bolts/washers/orings for under 25 shipped. the broch/spline inner section to 35 spline for under 70ish . and have a super set of hubs.

i trashed my junky warn blacks for a set of ( thatk30guy ) used spicers. then got the ebay parts and have a super beefy set of lockouts for under 260. :eek1:

i have one spicer hub here but i need another...i once ran a welded front end with thoose spicer hubs and had alot of trouble unlocking the hubs...ive seen people run the premo's with a welded front end and have no trouble unlocking them

Here I go again....

DPI, is that a DD Machine 241 Doubler or something else? I'd like to know more about it.

BTW, that is some seriously low gearing. :D :waytogo: :D

If you want strong hubs do the Spicer's like have been talked about. A good friend of mine runs them and has had great success with them. He runs 42's with a 6:1 doubler and absolutely beats the crap out of his rig and they havn't failed in over 5 yrs of tough wheeling. He snapped a non-neckdown 35spl Spicer axle a few months ago and his hubs were fine.

Dynatrac's new hubs are supposed to be really strong too but I think they are pricey.

From everything I have heard about the Warn 35 spl hubs is that they actually pretty weak. I believe it was Steve Fox who broke one or both of his brand new Warns on his first run out with them with 39.5's.
