Has anyone else done this swap?Specs on the truck are:'85 shortbed,350/208(was),10 bolts f/r.

Now that the 350/205 is in,1 kickdown cable is 1.5" to short,1 is 3.5" to long, rear driveshaft is to short but I was expecting that. The front driveshaft is to long. In order to put it in,it has to be fully compressed and it still has to be forced into position(which we didn't do).

So ,my thinking is this.Install the six inch lift sooner than we wanted to.Reason being: we'll be having a rear longbed d-shaft shortened,so we might as well lift it first to prevent more shaft length issues later on. Also,I'm thinking that the 6 inches of lift would help with the fitment of the front shaft by increasing the distance between the t-case and axle.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong about the front shaft fitting better with the lift. This is going on someone elses truck and need to be right in my thinking...That's why I'm here.Cuz CK5 Rocks:bow:

Also note:The sticker on the glovebox says that truck originally came with a 700R.If that makes a difference.

Thanks for the help,guys
