i did some searching around on here and cant quite find what i am looking for, so here it goes. i have a all stock 1985 305 engine it came with the original carb but it is a electronic carb and my blazer is gutted no emissions or anything but my question is i have a new rebuilt carb of an older 350 would i have to change the jets or rods in it or can i just bolt it on and go if so what size jets and metering rods do i need any help would be appreciated thanks

mid 70's and later q-jets work well with the 9.2 to 1 compression 305's . Your gonna have to do some tuning and find what works well with whatever trans and gearing you have ........... however , you may get lucky , most of the time the factory tune is a good starting point . I have just literally bolted a truck q-jet/manifold on several small blocks and it worked fine .

Regardless of engine size , the chevy/gmc q-jet casting flows up to 750cfm , some BOP/Cad castings flow up to 800 cfm .
