$400. ran when parked. no starter or fuel pump but all the other accessories are included. its out of 1978 truck. has a HEI distributor and a quadrajet carb. new alternator and a mechanical (non clutch) fan. stock intake and stock exhaust manifolds.

I sold the trans and need to sell this engine. $250 for a running engine is not a lot to ask.

what its the condition of it? think i can just drop it in a 85 1/2ton truck that has a blown motor and will get me around for a while?

with a tune up, YES. if I were gonna run it I would get new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I stole the coil out of the cap for a trail spare, but you could swap the one out of the motor you are running now. its a stock iron intake with a quadrajet. the truck sat for awhile so the carb probably needs rebuilt or replaced. the alternator is new but I don't know how old the water pump is.

But really all the things I am listing are accesories that you already have on your motor.

how close are you to pittsburgh? my 305 is ready to die and after the stuff i heard about 400's im not so sure i want to build one. any pics? 2 bolt or 4 bolt main block?
