Did a complete tune up on the 87' 350 TBI. including all new plug wires.

Ran fine for a short while, now I have a sputtering - hesitation when I accelerate from a stop. From idle up to about 1700 rpm. It's not bad, but it's there.

Fuel filter is new too. I need more trouble shooting direction. Thanks.

mine did the same thing..turned out to be the EGR..

yup EGR, Same problem here!!! I need to fix that damn thing. Its not bad when it warms up but starting out its there.

it was the first repair i had to do when i got mine. :smirk:

I think I may need an EGR valve as well. I set mine on fire when I had a small engine fire. Was a nice blue flame burning from the EGR, first hint it may not be so good. Burb falls on its face if you make it work at all(lug the motor) when its cold.

yeah I just looked it up on napa 60 buck for the Valve, and 13 for the control solenoid. Well next paycheck buys 2" blocks so I can do the shackle flip, and 5 15x10 black 8 lug steel rims, and a few misc bills. O well I guess Ill have to wait a week.
