So my dad traded some work for a 73 GMC motor-home 454/400. I 'm getting the 454:D 90,000 miles on it. If I swap it in place of the 350 would I have to change or move the motor mounts?

basic bolt in swap. and you can use 350 mounts but if you have the 454 stuff thay are a bit beefyer from pics i have seen, and GET EVERY ACC BRACKET AND OTHER LITTLE GOODYS. dont forget the exaust sytem will need work.

the radiator and mounts should bolt in too... make sure the torque converter bolts line up... i found this out the hard way....

Very easy job. I would run the ORD engine mounts for the 350, they are polly and very heavy built. They will bolt right up to your engine and frame. If you run a 454 mount you will have to do some drilling.

Like said before, be sure to get all brackets. The BBC brackets are getting harder to find and expensive.

I think a mid '80s 454 is 260 hp and 325 ftlbs of torque or the likes.

Oh yeah while I'm in front of the internet,my dad will be getting my motor and swaaping out his TH350 for the 400. The 400 is longer ,correct?

Yes as was said keep the mounts and brackets. Then watch how fast that gas guage drops when you step on the skinny pedal.
