OK, here goes...

I am at the beginning of a 454 swap on my 89' Burb. After gathering info from here and other places on the Internet, I decided to slap-up a web page for my personal use in order to help me with this swap. It's not a "how-to" but rather a "project" page.

If anyone is interested, check it out at http://team-lan.com/454swap.html.

Feel free to email me with questions or comments.

BTW, there is no advertising, pop-ups, or other junk like that. It is my personal web page. I have just started this project so there arn't a lot of pics yet. Also, I haven't plastered this link all over the Internet. Just here and on the 454ss forum.

Thanks.

You want to know of some shorty headers that will fit?

Jays68Yak, I remember your reply to that same question I posted a week or so ago. You had pics of Chevelle headers, right?

Do you have any pics of them from underneath where they bolt to the pipes?

Thanks. Forgot to update the site with that info.

My swap is a '93 454 into a '90 blazer. Unlike you, I did very little reseach and had to attack the problems as they arose. A lot of little problems. The edelbrock manifold you are using has no provisions for the AC brackets. On mine, different egr and location which kind of interfered with the AC brackets. Had to mount the coil in a different location. I used hooker headers and had to fab up mounting brackets for the power steering. Also the headers did not allow me to use the brackets from the block to the tranny. (700R). the main problem now, as in most tbi swaps, is the wiring.
Where are you in Az. Maybe we can hook up and teach each other a few things.
I see your not a member yet. You can e-mail me at [email protected]
Good luck with your project.
Here are some pics of my swap.
My specs: 454 4bolt main .020over
049 heads polished but not ported

How weird is this? I live in Chandler as well!

Stoped paying for membership about 3 or 4 years ago...

My 89' engine does not have any A/C brackets that attach to the manifold. Herd about that issue on 454ss. Don't want to give up the strut braces on the 700 so manifolds are looking like the best option.

Also, my EGR is in the exact same place as the Edelbrock one.

Sent you an email.

Thanks for the info!
