Working slowly through a 350 TBI to 6.2 swap here... trying to remove what I'm not gonna need anymore. What are the lines in the pix with the arrows? In the first pic, the line went to (what I think was) the charcoal canister, so, fuel tank vent line?

Second shot: these lines went to the TBI unit (I think) The hardlines are obviously fuel & return, so what's the third line with the rubber hose? Another vent?

Also, what can I remove from the wiring? If I'm correct, the only wires going to the engine from the ORIGINAL harness I'll need are for the instruments, right?

First pic is your front differential vent line and the second is the vacuum line for the modulator for the transmission.

Vacuum line, got it, thanx.

First pic is definitely not the diff vent, I've already removed that. This one goes down along the framerail next to the line going to the rear brakes.

For wiring you only need oil pressure, temp sender, ignition, alternator and AC stuff if you have it. Any chance you got the wiring harness from the diesel donor?

Nope.:doah: Don't think I'd trust 26 year old wiring. I was planning to rebuild that much anyway, I'm a sick f***, I actually enjoy wiring. :pimp:

LOL been there, need to go back. Spent a while trying to figure out why the key switch for the tailgate glass won't work. Decided to deal with that another year.

Also, Some DPO decided to wire all the stuff he added WITH THE SAME SPOOL OF WHITE WIRE.:doah:

Looked like a spaghetti pot exploded under the dash.

Been there!..I had one truck that someone wired all their "add-ons" with house romex solid copper wire & wire nuts!..and they used RED wires on everything,grounds,positive,etc..it was a nightmare keeping that truck going, just about daily I had to fix some type of wiring dilema...I finally got a used unmolested wiring harness from a junkyard and ripped ALL the under dash wiring out...after I pulled the radio out,I was surprised the truck hadn't caught fire, there was several charred wires and thge jute pad under the carpet was burnt pretty good,I guess the only reason it went out was the pad was soaked further down where your feet were!..
