350 Turbo problems

Ok, my buddy with the 85 truck found out today that the trans leak he has is the t-case(NP208) is loose due to the fact that the trans case where the top t-case bolts go in is cracked?!

my question, is the 350 from a car(with the tail shaft housing removed) the same as the 4x4 one?

also, should this truck have a brace from the t-case to the engine/bellhousing bolt?

no the 350 from a car with the tail housing removed is not the same. the out put shafts are different.

they are differene, BUT, if he has a 700r4 in it curently then you can use the tranny to replace the 700r4 with a little cut of the output shaft and a 1.75" spacer.

nope, he has a 350 in it now


is the case the same between a 350 longtail and a 350 shorttail?

if yes we have a longtail case we can use

yes the cases are the same.
