anyone got any pictures? im going to retire my k5 on 38s from offroad and make it into a grocery getter tow vehicle. so to ease on the drivetrain going to slap some 35s onto it. just wondering if its going to look stupid. i have a picture of my old suburban with a 6inch and 33s and it didnt look to bad.

my truck does have a body lift and ill remove it if it looks really bad but just trying to get a idea. im getting the 35s regaurdless

I would say ditch the body lift. I think trucks look dumb with alot of lift and little tires. Atleast the trucks I have see

yeah. ive always been one of those people i could honestly care about the "look" of a truck. ive always liked the body lift for the fact it makes everything under the truck easier to get at.

I like the look... I think 4X4HIGH has 8" and 35's, looks good.

I'm only going to run a 285/75R16 with a 4" suspension lift and 1" ORD body lift.

I like body lifts myself but most of the time. I had a 3" with 35s and my truck would have looked stupid with another 4 inch. But that's just me. If done right it can look good but most trucks don't IMO

how much body lift do you have? If you have 3 inches i would get rid of that 4 inch suspension and 35's is a good combo. Also if you are using it as a DD now you want to make sure that you have the correct bumper heights being in IL.
Towing is not to fun with a lifted K-5, i have towed a bit with mine and try and avoid it when i can. You saw how my truck was set up at the cliffs on new years day.

That's true. A body lift won't affect your towing at all. Just have gaps but that's no biggie

this sub is on all spring 6'' bds lift, w/35'' mud grapplers

im rolling on 38s now and have never been messed with. i been running basically this set up since 2001. i kinda drive like a grandma though cause i know this thing attracts attention. its a 2 inch body lift with a 6inch suspension. i dont want to drop down the suspension for one its going to cost money to buy a 4inch also my rear pinion angle is set for the 6inch lift so id have to pull the rear axle. grind the spring and shock mounts off.

are you the one who hit my truck out that cliffs? :haha:

my first k5 had 35s and a 6inch lift and was just curious as to how bad the extra 2 inches will look
