OK, on my '98 K2500 Im running 35x12.5x15 BFG M/T's on some 15x10 steel wheels. When I crank the wheel hard to pull into driveway or parking space I get some rub that I believe is limiting my steering. Even with some trimming. Since the wheels are starting to rust and are just some cheap wagon wheels Im looking at going to something a little nicer. So would going 16x8 with a 315/75/16 A/T not rub? Or rub considerably less?

Later model rigs usually ran 4.5-5" backspacing on 8" wheels. You might have better luck with Centerline Hellcat or equivalent made for later model rigs. Less scrub radius as well.

Depends on the backspacing on your current rim vs. the backspacing on the new ones. the 315's are probably spec out about the same as the 35's, but you might want to look at the acutal dimension and make sure they arent any bigger. If the backspacing on the new rim is roughly the same or more than the old one I would imagine it would rub less due to the fact that it will suck the tire back in a fair amount.
