Can someone tell me if there are any advantages to going down a tire size? My truck has a 4 lift and I am running 35's now. The Blazer has stock gears in it and I think 33's would work better with this set up. What do you think?

Your going to be putting allot less stress on those 10 bolts. I've been runnin 33's for four years now and have yet to find something I cannot conquer.

he'll be going down in tire size.

you'll gain a little bit of acceleration, due to less weight and height. less ground clearance.

Actually my truck has a D44 in the front and a 12B in the back. thanks for the input. I was just wondering if there would be a big difference with the smaller tire. Ground clearance was one of the issues i was concerned with.

How much is 1" ground clearance worth to you. Depending on what tires you're running you can save $60+ per tire going with 33s instead of 35s. I did.

I'm going to go with BFG Mud's that I do know. Since all four (& my spare) are going on their last mile I will need to replace the tires soon. I actually had a blow out yesterday and ended up walking about 7 miles home in order to get another spare from my garage. Lesson learned, make sure the spare in the truck holds air:eek1: , dont forgett your cell phone when you leave the house:o , and always carry water in the truck in case you have to walk in the AZ sun:doah: . At least it was like only 90 yesterday :D .

That stinks. Was that your rig right before the barricade on Bella Vista? If so I drove right by it. Maybe I drove right by you. :doah: I went with the Pro Comp Mud Terrains. Just got them on a couple weeks ago and the road manners are pretty good, not like all terrains, but better than I expected. They have a barely noticable humm at high speeds, but I think BFG M/Ts do also. Got my brake lines on Monday night so maybe I'll test out their offroad prowess over the weekend. With some price matching you could get them for $165 a peice. I got mine a little cheaper with the buy 3 get one free, but not much since they spike the per tire price when they run the special. I love BFGs though. I've only ran BFG A/Ts, but have rode with friends with M/Ts. It's hard to beat 'em for a good on/light off road combo. What kind of deals have you found for the BFGs?

Yep that was my rig. I don't think you drove past me though since I cut across the orange groves and fields to make my walk shorter. BFG's are running about 208 for the 35's costco has them a little cheaper (But not much) I was thinking I might wait till the buy three get on free deal rolls around too.

Big Dave; I got my 35" BFG AT's at Costco about 2 months ago and only paid an OTD price for four of them of $723 and the typical full road hazard warranty mounted and balanced and all. Check them again when you get closer to buying them. It was about $140 less than anyone else in So Cal.
