36\" Blow Out

This is what a 36" tire blow out looks like :

/forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif Scared the sh!t out of me. Was going 60 mph the truck droped down on driver rear, handle ok for what happened. (no roll over like a furd exploder owner would have done/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif) Other then being startled and standing on the side of a highway for an half hour, my family is all ok /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Also want to get a different set of tires

Re: 36\" Blow Out

Hay-sooz, there isn't much left of the rubber. Tire failure, or did you hit something? (like a VW bug?)

Re: 36\" Blow Out

Dang, and those were almost brand new. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif So, are you giving up on that set? Why looking for a whole set? Worried about the others?

Re: 36\" Blow Out

Yeah a little nervouse about condition of the others, two are of the newer design TSL radials, but the other one is older like the one that blew that makes me nervous. Not sure why these blew did a little offroading Sat. nothing hard just washes and climbing. I put my MTXs tires over rougher terrain than that and not a problem with them, tires flats or anything. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif May just get a another set of MTXs or all terains, not sure what yet depends on the deals I can find.

Re: 36\" Blow Out

I lost a LH rear 35" tire once with my 4" lifted K5 and towing my 23' travel trailer at about 70 MPH. Hardly wiggled and pulled over to the side of the road with no problems.

Re: 36\" Blow Out

I just thought of another good reason to justify Hydro assist.

Re: 36\" Blow Out

Jays Beast,

Where and when did you have yours go? Mine happened today on the north bond 101, between Indian Bend and Pima Rd.. I blew my front drivers side tire. I'll try to get some pic's and post them tomarrow or Tuesday. Glad everyones alright....

Had fun today on the side of the freeway 35" blow-out

I just had a 35 end its life on saterday night too, had to find the wheel lock, then toss on the 35x15x15 swamper I brought as a spare.. then it self grinded my caliper.. after switching the spere to the rear I got home at about 9 in the morning.. left at 10 pm the night before /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
