I can get a set of these for 300 bucks, ready to put on the truck. I thought the stock chevy rim was 16" or is there a way to make it fit?? just want to make sure it safe. this will be going on my friends truck. thanks guys

the hummer tires are 36 x 12 x 16.5 .
they won't fit on a stock chevy wheel.

OK he said thats what they are on i thought. guess i will go look and see.
never ever match 16 to 16.5 rims
or 16.5 to 16 rims.
first combo will be so frigin hard to remove tire from rim as rim is tapered seat. and second big big possible tire blow off rim upon bead seating.

Unless your stock rims are 16.5. Am I missing something here? Chevy did come out with stock 16.5 rims. What I don't know is if they had 16.5 rims wider than 6.5". That's a little narrow for a 12.5" tire.
I have the 37 radials on stock 16.5s. I bought the 4 rims for $2

i was thinking stock chevy 1/2 ton as 15" wheel. not the 1-tons that came with 16.5, i even have some of them. just make sure your matching everything up.

74 3/4ton factory 16.5's 8"wide (surprised to see these)
79 3/4ton factory 16.5's 6"wide
84 1-ton factory 16" 6" wide
79 1/2 ton factory 15" 6" wide
75 blazer rally's factory 15" 8" wide
all of these are in my backyard and looks like they came factory and p.o. used these trucks as work trucks that were stock.

A bunch of the hummers we took delivery of back in the day had cheap steel rims on them for transportation (with the goodyear MT tires). 16.5x 8 or 9 or maybe even 10" wide if memory serves me well. A bunch of the guys were taking the rims home to run on their personal rig with rather wide tires. Before they were released to the motorpool the standard rims with run flats were installed and the tires swapped over. A few weeks back i saw some of the rims on e-bay so they should be easy to find.
