i ended up with 4 sets for 1200 bucks. all new. a few used ones as spares. being told they wear fast and are a pretty weak tire for offroad. i thought being on a hummer they would be pretty good since there pretty heavy. so what do you guys think? hope i didnt waste 1200 bucks.

thanks

i got them on my blazer and currently couldn't be happier. Cheap and they ride REAL well unbalanced...they have been to almost triple digit speeds and the whole truck somehow held together...lol.

4 sets with wheels included or just tires?

i had them on my k5 for a long time, great street manor,, sucked in mud or anything. like said drove true w/ out balancing them up to 100mph area b4.. so yeah they work!

They aren't the best but you spent a lot less than $200 a tire. IROKS are a great tire but how much would a set of those put you back?

for 37x14x16 they are 210 bias

for a 37x12.5x15 radial is 260 so not that much, if you weren't in cali i'd take one off your hands as a spare...i'm in nj though.

i got the bias 37s, great road manners.

I had one as a spare but never used it. The 37" Goodyear MT's (i.e. "Hummer tires", not MT/R's) use a very hard rubber compound that I wouldn't be interested in for an offroad tire. Plus they use a 16.5" rim which is another downfall.

16 brand new tires for $1200 is probably a good deal, depends on what you want to do with them. Sure, they're not as good as the other tires in its class, but for 1/3 the price...

make sure your alignment is good before you run them. They are some hard tires, but the tread will rub off really fast if they don't run straight. My personal opinion is that they really suck, but you can't really argue for the price. Do you run an 8 lug pattern? If so you should look into finding a set of HMMWV rims. You might not need to run the runflat portion inside them (adds a lot of weight), but you could just use the internal bead locks, they work pretty good.
