guy at pavementsucks.com bought a set... got 4-40's and 1 is out of round... vibrates alot at 45mph... GotSmoke is his name...

Re: 38\" Hawgs for $139

Nebraskatire.com is known for finding killer deals. I serously doubt anything is wrong with those tires. If they had a safty issue I don't think they'd be being sold. More then likely Nebraskatire bought out a wharehouse, or smaller tire store somewhere.

[/ QUOTE ] Good one. But serously, the only person claiming there is a problem with them is the same person who has put them down in most threads about them. I'm not saying he's full of sh_t, just saying I couldn't find anything to suport his claim. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Re: 38\" Hawgs for $139

My ground hawgs, although not perfect, ride a lot nicer than my swampers. Both sets are new, swampers were balanced, ground hawgs NOT blanced. The swampers are very out of round. My friend had 31" 10 ply load rating "E" ssr's on his 2003 HD and had a sidewall blowout, the tire still has half tread. Sorry, swampers don't impress me near as much as my "allegedly problematic" ground hawgs.

I haven't heard anything of the exploding hawgs either. If their truly is a problem, I may consider getting rid of mine.

Re: 38\" Hawgs for $139

go on pavementsucks.com a lot of people run them its like the tire of choice there and more and more people are having trouble

Re: 38\" Hawgs for $139

Does anybody know what a 38x15-15 or a 40x17-15 weighs?

40s might be pushing it if they weigh a lot but those 38s would be about perfect.
