That means that you lost your ground. Over full means no ground and below empty means shorted sending unit wire.

Thanks Tarey, you might have saved me a some time on this fuel pump issue.

On a good note, a little gas in poured into the TBI and she fired right up!!! So, I'm a little more motivated to chase this down now.

FAIL!

How about you plug the pump wire back in at the frame!!

This would have been,

EPIC Fail

had I went ahead and pulled the tank out.

I got the make shift exhaust put in and took her for a test drive. Wow, what a difference even at half throttle. :D:D:D Gonna run over and get new exhaust in the morning.

Thanks for all the advise and information gang!

Got any pics?

Let me get the exhaust in and I'll take a few. The only real change you see is the red plug wires, the aluminum manifold and the silver headers. Everything else looks completely stock and I kind of like it like that.

The Hedman headers are better then I expected. They have nice clearance and there really isn't that much more noise in the cab.

Got the exhaust done and it sounds pretty good.

I need some advise on air intake systems. I know Scott loves closed filter systems that pull cold air from outside the engine compartment.

What's out there now for use?

Strangely enough, without the factory style aircleaner assembly on the the motor runs really well, but with it on it stumbles pretty bad when you first hit the gas.

Could it really be starving for air?

I'm interested in pics of your exhaust. As you know mine is similiar. I had a tough time finding someone that was capable of bending the tube at a reasonable price. I am also interested in seeing you clearences on the driver side shackle as well as the shift linkage.

Currently I am just running a Edelbrok round air cleaner on mine. I would like to find a cold air intake that would work well. Let me know what you find.

Whats it running off of? Stock .bin or did you get one burned?

I don't see how an air filter would cause stumbling unless it's damn near plugged up.

It's running off a tbichips.com chip. It's running a tad rich most of the time and has some black smoke at idle. I'm gonna do some data logging and send that to Brian for a reburn.

I could see how it might want to load up a little more with the filter on but only if it's already running pretty rich. I was constantly fighting a rich condition when I tried to tune my own tbi. Thing would run like ape **** at about 2k rpm but anywhere under it'd fall flat on it's face.

What is brians policy on reburns? Do you have to pay everytime?

I think he will work with you on a new chip. I have to call him again but want to get some data stored up.

A vacuum referenced regulator seems to be the way to go. Most of the guys on thirdgen swear by them

no adjustments necessary as it fluctuates with vacuum... not sure how it works with different cams but definetly worth checking out.
